Remembering our Testimony

Hi there! Welcome to post 13 of Voice of Jesus.

Would you agree if I said that all children of God share a common TESTIMONY? Though our stories could be different at some point we all meet at a place that puts a spotlight on the CROSS and glorifies what Jesus did for us.

There is something we should read from OT as well,

When God decides to set Israelites free from being salved to Egypt, this is what He says to Moses. In Exodus 6: 6-8 it says…

6 “Therefore, say to the Israelites: ‘I am the Lord, and I will bring you out from under the yoke of the Egyptians. I will free you from being slaves to them, and I will redeem you with an outstretched arm and with mighty acts of judgment. I will take you as my own people, and I will be your God. Then you will know that I am the Lord your God, who brought you out from under the yoke of the Egyptians. And I will bring you to the land I swore with uplifted hand to give to Abraham, to Isaac and to Jacob. I will give it to you as a possession. I am the Lord.’”

If we saw how God intends to deliver Israelites as a sequence, it would be like –

  1. To bring them out from under the yoke of Egyptians
  2. Free them from being slaves and redeem them with an OUTSTRETCHED ARM
  3. Take them as His own people and be their God
  4. They would know God as their Redeemer and Savior
  5. Bringing them to the promised land.

Is it not how Jesus has saved each one of Us? Back then it was Israelites but today it is us whom God has willed to redeem. Just like Israelites, even we, were once captive. But not under the yoke of Egyptians but under the yoke of the unseen dark forces. We were captive to our sin, shame, depression, guilt, condemnation, and every other thing that God never wanted us to be captivated by.

And how Jesus redeemed each one of us if written in a sequence, it would be like –

  1. Jesus brought us out from under the yoke of our sin
  2. He set us free from being slaves to our sin by sacrificing His life on the cross with His OUTSTETCHED ARMS.
  3. He has taken us as His children
  4. And today we know Him as our Redeemer and savior
  5. He would take us to a place He has gone to prepare.

God was gracious to give us His Son. And Jesus with His loving and compassionate heart did not hesitate even a bit to save us all from our captivity. What Jesus did to us can never be repaid in any form and no words can ever define His greatness.

As I end this post, can I request you to take this time to remember how Jesus beautifully made a way to reach you in your time on this earth to give you a new life by setting you free from all the condemnation and giving you days that you never dreamed about? If it was not for Him, we would have never made it here. Truly He is there with us all the time protecting us and loving us with His tender heart. May His name be glorified in all the Earth and in all the Heaven.

Let not our TESTIMONY be just a TALE but a wealthy TREASURE that would call more people to Christ. Say an Amen!
