Stop Confining-Start Constructing

Curiosity keeps the world fueled to run towards learning. But how well have we channelized this emotion to really know the truths that we should be knowing? In matters that concern us the most, chances are high that we simply end up making our own conclusions and stop ourselves from getting close to it to know more. This is true even in the case of knowing who God really is.

Recently while at the hospital I heard someone state this to one of the patient’s caretakers ” Had your attitude been correct God would have healed him/her by now “. Believes like this showcase the false attributes of God.

The very first block that sets us away from knowing God is the PRESUMPTIONS that we carry. The idea that we have been given about God from our childhood is the presumption that we tend to carry. While some presume about God others CONFINE Him according to their thoughts.

A large tank seen from far away looks smaller, but the true size of it is revealed only when we have moved closer to it. This truth implies knowing God as well. Do not just assume who God is from where you are. Get up, make efforts, and move closer to Him to know His true nature. And I am sure after you have known Him you cannot deny but accept that indeed He is a good God and a Loving Father.

Word of God says that the nature of God that we learn here on earth is just in parts which means we can never know the full nature of God until we have met Him face to face ( 1 Corinthians 13). That is how mighty He is. You can keep talking about Him your whole life and can still be unfinished.

Waste, not a minute..!!Take a step closer to knowing God. Burst out the myths that you carry and channel your curiosity to know Him. He is bigger than any ocean and more loving than any mother. Begin to CONSTRUCT in your mind the true nature of God.

Please continue reading these below points which are some myths that we might have about God and what the Word of God says about it.

  • ‘God does not love me because I do not belong to so and so’ – You and me, we are in God’s plan. Our human identity does not make even a slightest difference to God. We are equal in His eyes. God did not give His Son for just a few but for the whole WORLD. Clearly He does not discriminate. (John 3 : 16 – For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.
  • ‘My difficult times mean that I have lost God’s favor’ – God’s favor is with each of us all the time. Our good times and bad times does not define His favor towards us. (Psalm 34: 19 The righteous person may have many troubles, but the LORD delivers him from them all)
  • ‘Following God means living life by rules‘ – Rules is not what God wants us to live by. Just like any earthly father God also wants His children to live their lives to the fullest. He wants us lead a righteous life by grace and not by rules (Romans 6:14) Grace indeed teaches us God’s way to live life. Also He has given us an opportunity to be righteous by His Son Jesus Christ our Lord and Saviour. ( Romans 3 : 22 This righteousness is given through faith in Jesus Christ to all who believe)
